Privacy policy

qubeGroup™ is committed to protecting your personal information and letting you know the type of information we collect and how we use it. We comply with the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

At qubeGroup™ we provide a range of integrated marketing, branding and advertising services. The information that we collect relates to three principle areas:

  • running our internal business operations;
  • client projects and confidential client information;
  • market research data.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect personal and sensitive information and how we safeguard the privacy of that information under the National Privacy Principles. Personal information is information that can identify a particular person. Sensitive information includes details of race, religion, sexuality, political associations, criminal record, professional memberships. This Privacy Policy applies to any personal or sensitive information you provide via our website or that we may collect from other sources.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the employee records of current and former employees of qubeGroup™.

What Information Do We Hold and How Do We Get It?
When we collect personal and sensitive information it is generally from communications such as telephone conversations, letter, fax or email, when you subscribe electronically to our publications, if you meet with us in person or when you browse our website(s) or subscribe to our examplesletter.

The sort of personal information we collect may include:

  • your name, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address, the date and time that you access our website, the pages that you access or download, the previous site you have visited, the type of browser you use;
  • information about your dealings with us or our clients.

Sensitive information is only collected if you have agreed to provide it.

How Do We Use Personal and Sensitive Information?
We collect personal and sensitive information for the following purposes:

  • to provide our services to our clients and to manage those relationships;
  • for market research;
  • to consider making offers of employment or for employment purposes;
  • to manage the internal operation of our business which will require us to purchase goods and services from you or the organisation you work for; or
  • to comply with our legal obligations.
If you do not provide the information requested, we may not be able either to provide you with the services you want or to pursue properly one of the other purposes set out above.

We may disclose information:

  • for the purposes for which it was collected;
  • subject to any restrictions that have been agreed to;
    within qubeGroup; or
  • on a confidential basis to external service providers so that they can assist us in providing services to you.

What If I Give Information For Market Research?
If you provide information for market research which we conduct or if you have agreed examplesletter subscriber, you may be asked to provide sensitive as well as personal information to establish your demographic position or to further the goals of a particular research project. Researches are not generally concerned with your identity and remove such details as soon as they are no longer needed. All market research conducted by qubeGroup™ complies with the Market and Social Research Privacy Code which has been approved by the Federal Privacy Commissioner and which came into force on 1 September, 2003. Security of Your Information
We take all reasonable steps to protect the information that we hold from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification and disclosure.

Your information may be stored either in a physical form as hard copy documents or as electronic data.

Our paper and electronic data stores and premises are secured by locks and security systems. Our computers, computer networks and data systems are secured by use of firewalls, user identifiers and passwords to regulate access. Staff, contractors and volunteers at qubeGroup™ are obliged to keep confidential any personal information that they have access to.

Gaining Access to Your Data and Correction
If you ask, we will provide access to your personal information and any sensitive information that we hold unless the Privacy Act allows us to decline to do so, for example if there is legal obligation of confidentiality or non-disclosure. Your request for access will be dealt with within a reasonable time (usually within 7 days) but we may charge an administration fee of providing access. If access is denied, we will explain why.

If the data we hold about you is incorrect, out of date or incomplete we will take reasonable steps to correct it.
